Chris
Co-owner
Chris is the one you’ll usually talk to on the phone. He runs the schedule, walks every quote, and keeps you in the loop through the project — so you always know what’s happening next and why.
Two owners. One crew. Every job their name goes on.
Chris and Jay are the two halves of R.A. Roofing. They started the company because they wanted to run jobs the way they’d want their own roofs done — properly, honestly, with someone you can actually reach when you call.

Jay leads the crew on the roof. He’s the one making the call on whether something needs replacing or can be repaired — and he treats every roof like it’s going on his own house.
Vancouver Island roofs, by Vancouver Island roofers. We live here. Our reputation doesn’t end when we leave your driveway.
Chris and Jay are on the job, not at a call centre. The people quoting your roof are the people who’ll be on it.
The number on the quote is the number on the invoice. We won’t compromise quality to protect a margin — and we won’t spring “extras” on you halfway through the job.
If you’re somewhere along this stretch of the Island, we can help. Not sure if we cover your area? Just ask — if we can’t take it on, we’ll point you to someone we trust.
These aren’t lines on a brochure. They’re a baseline you should expect from any contractor you let onto your property — and a fair question to ask before you hire.
We carry the licensing required to operate as a roofing contractor in British Columbia — so you’re hiring a registered business, not a friend-of-a-friend with a ladder.
Liability insurance covers your property in the very unlikely event something goes wrong on the job. It’s a basic standard — and a good question to ask of any contractor, anywhere.
Every member of our crew is covered under WorkSafe BC. If you hire an uncovered contractor and a worker gets hurt on your property, you can be on the hook. Always ask for a clearance letter.
If you’re a senior, currently serving (or retired) military, or a first responder, we’d like to return the favour. Mention your discount when you book — no paperwork, no hoops.
Built to last. Priced with respect for the work you’ve already put in.
Active duty, reserve, or retired — thank you for your service.
Police, fire, paramedics — thank you for being there when it counts.
Tell us about your roof. We’ll come out, take a look, and give you a written quote — no pressure, no surprises later.
