Our services

Six things we do,
and we do them properly.

Every job gets the same crew, the same care, and the same straightforward pricing — whether it’s a flashing repair or a full tear-off.

01 / New Installation

New Roof Installation

From bare framing to a finished roof.

Building a new home, an addition, a garage, or a shop? The roof is the system that protects everything underneath it for the next 25 to 50 years — it’s worth getting right the first time. We’ll work with your contractor or step in as the lead on the roof scope, and make sure what gets installed is right for the building, the budget, and the climate it has to live in.

We handle the entire envelope: underlayment, ice-and-water shield where it matters, ventilation, flashing, drip edge, and the finish layer of your choice. Vancouver Island weather is no joke — everything we install is rated for it.

You’ll get a written quote up front, a clear timeline, and one point of contact from the day we start to the day we sign off.

02 / Replacement

Roof Replacement

When patching isn’t worth it any more.

Most asphalt roofs on the Island make it 20 to 25 years before they start asking serious questions. Once shingles are curling, granules are filling up the gutters, or you can see daylight through the deck from the attic, you’re past the point where another patch buys you much.

Replacement isn’t just “new shingles on old wood.” We strip the roof to the deck, inspect every square foot, replace any rotten or soft sheathing, and rebuild the system from the underlayment up. If there are old layers underneath, those come off too — properly disposed of and to code.

It usually takes us a few days, weather depending. You’ll know the schedule before we start and you’ll get photos of anything unusual we find along the way.

03 / Repairs

Roof Repairs

Find it, fix it, document it.

Leaks are sneaky. The drip on your ceiling is rarely directly under the source — water travels along rafters, flashing, and decking before it shows itself. We don’t guess. We get on the roof, inspect properly, find the actual point of failure, and bring back photos that show you what we found and why we recommend what we recommend.

Common repairs: flashing around chimneys, skylights, and walls; replacing damaged or missing shingles; sealing failed boots around vent stacks; reseating ridge caps; and dealing with moss or ice damage before it gets serious.

You’ll get a written quote before any work starts. If we find something deeper we think you should know about — a soft deck, an undersized vent system, failed step flashing — we’ll tell you and let you decide what to do.

04 / Metal

Metal Roofing

Decades-long warranties. Sharp Island look.

Metal is having a moment on the Island and for good reason. Standing-seam and exposed-fastener panels can last 40 to 60 years, shed snow and pine needles, and look as sharp as anything you’ll see on a modern coastal build. They’re also fully recyclable at end of life, which matters to a lot of homeowners we talk to.

We install standing-seam, ribbed exposed-fastener, and metal-shake profiles in a wide range of colours and gauges. We’ll walk you through what works on your roof’s pitch and style, and what the cost difference looks like over the life of the roof compared to shingles.

Properly installed, a metal roof is one of the lowest-maintenance choices you can make. The key word is properly — flashing details, fastener spacing, and underlayment all matter. We don’t take shortcuts on any of them.

05 / Shingles

Asphalt Shingle Roofing

The Island standard, done well.

Most of the roofs on Vancouver Island are asphalt shingles, and it’s not by accident — they’re a great fit for our climate, they look good on every style of home from craftsman to modern, and the price point is hard to beat. The difference between a shingle roof that lasts 15 years and one that lasts 30 is almost entirely in the installation.

We install architectural laminate shingles from manufacturers like BP, IKO, GAF, and Malarkey, with options ranging from standard 30-year warranties to full lifetime systems. We also handle starter strips, hip-and-ridge caps, ice-and-water shield, synthetic underlayment, and proper attic ventilation — all the parts of a shingle roof you don’t see, but that decide whether it goes the distance.

We’ll give you a few options at different price points, explain the trade-offs in plain language, and let you choose.

06 / Gutters

Gutters

Where the water actually goes.

Gutters are unglamorous and easy to ignore — right up until water is running down the side of your house, soaking into the foundation, or finding its way into the basement. A properly designed gutter system isn’t expensive, but it has to be sized for the roof above it, pitched correctly, and tied into a downspout layout that moves water away from the building.

We install seamless aluminum gutters in 5″ and 6″ profiles, in colours that match your fascia or trim. We also handle leaf guards, downspout extensions, and replacing tired old systems on existing homes.

If a new roof is going on, this is the right time to redo the gutters too — once the scaffolding’s down, it gets harder. We’ll usually price both in the same quote so you can see what you’re working with.
